Data Security Engineer

We are looking for a Data Security Engineer who is passionate about protecting sensitive data and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, with expertise in designing and implementing robust security measures, conducting thorough security assessments, and responding to security incidents.

An ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's data assets and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. An ideal candidate will be at the forefront of the company’s cybersecurity initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement effective security solutions. By staying ahead of emerging threats and continuously improving our security posture, the ideal candidate will help the company maintain the trust of our clients and partners.

Design and Implementation: Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures. Design and configure security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies. Ensure secure architecture and system configurations for new and existing systems.

Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor security alerts and incidents, investigate anomalies, and respond promptly to security breaches. Conduct root cause analysis and forensic investigations to identify and mitigate security threats. Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular simulations.

Risk Assessment and Management: Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize security risks and vulnerabilities. Implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.

Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). Prepare and assist in security audits and assessments. Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.

Education and Training: Educate and train employees on security best practices and awareness. Develop and conduct security training programs and workshops.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle. Communicate security policies and practices to stakeholders and executive management. Provide technical guidance and support to other teams and departments.

✔ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.

✔ Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or a related field. Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions.

✔ Proficiency in security technologies and tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus).

✔ Strong knowledge of encryption protocols, data loss prevention, and network security.

✔ Experience with cloud security and securing cloud-based environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
